12V to 20V Automotive Power Converter

Image
12V to +-20V Automotive Power Converter Diagram The limitation of car supply voltage (12V) forces to convert the voltages to higher in order to power audio amplifiers. In fact the max audio power x speaker (with 4 ohm impedance) using 12V is (Vsupply+ - Vsupply-)^2/(8*impedance) 12^2/32 = 4.5Watts per channel, that is laughable... For powering correctly an amplifier the best is to use a symmetric supply with a high voltage differential. for example +20 - -20 = 40Volts in fact 40^2/32 = 50 Watts per channel that is respectable. This supply is intended for two channels with 50W max each (of course it depends on the amplifier used). Though it can be easily scaled up or the voltages changed to obtain different values.

12V Flourescent Lamp Inverter

Image
Drive a standard 36/40W fluoro tube to fll brightness from a 12V DC. Ideal for camping, a trouble light or even emergency home lighting. For these reasons, fluorescent lighting is the natural choice in commercial and retail buildings, workshops and factories. For battery-powered lighting, fluorescent lights are also the first choice because of their high efficiency. The main drawback with running fluorescent lights from battery power is that an inverter is required to drive the tubes. Inverter efficiency then becomes the major issue. There are many commercial 12V-operated fluorescent lamps available which use 15W and 20W tubes. However, it is rare to see one which drives them to full brilliance. For example, a typical commercial dual 20W fluorescent lamp operating from 12V draws 980mA or 11.8W. Ignoring losses in the fluorescent tube driver itself, it means that each tube is only supplied with 5.9W of power which is considerably less than their 20W rating. So while the lamps do use 20W...

This circuit provides a 12V regu-lated power supply with output current up to 3 amperes. It is spe-cially designed for use with 2m handheld rigs with linear power amplifier and CB portable QRP rigs. The circuit uses monolithic IC CA3085 voltage regulator in 8-lead TO-5 package.  Its salient features include good load and line regulation, output current up to 100 mA (which can be increased to several amperes with additional pass transistors), output short-circuit protection, and lower input voltage.  A low power dissipation is achieved by driving external series-pass transistor 2N4241 (T1) from  pin 2 of CA3085. 500W Cheap 12V to 220V inverter Circuit Diagram

Image
Build a simple 500W Cheap 12V to 220V inverter Circuit Diagram.  In this circuit 4047 is use to generate the square wave of 50hz and amplify the current and then amplify the voltage by using the step transformer. 500W Cheap 12V to 220V inverter Circuit Diagram How to calculate transformer rating The basic formula is P=VI and between input output of the transformer we have Power input = Power output For example if we want a 220W output at 220V then we need 1A at the output. Then at the input we must have at least 18.3V at 12V because: 12V*18.3 = 220v*1 So you have to wind the step up transformer 12v to 220v but input winding must be capable to bear 20A.   Source: www.circuitsproject.com

1 5V to 5V 12V DC DC Converter with LT1073 Project

Image
This is the 1.5V to 5V/12V DC/DC Converter with LT1073 Project. Small 1.5V to 5V or 12V DC/DC converter with LT1073 chip. The IC is available in three different versions, depending on output voltage. Two with fixed output voltage of 5V and 12V, and the most interesting that can be adjusted. The adjustment is done through a voltage divider with two resistors, of mass, output and Terminal 8, internally connected to the voltage comparator IC, which is responsible for stabilizing the output voltage. LT1073 has an internal everything you need to make a small DC / DC converter with a low operating voltage of only 95μA 1V and consumption without load. If you do not have a meter inductance, the inductive part of the drive is a bit more complicated to make, but we shall see some possible solutions. Capacitor also recommended by the manufacturer for the circuit is a bit hard to get, I have used a tantalum recovered from another power source, and the ripple voltage at the output is quite low....

Car Battery 12v Charger Circuit Diagram

Image
The usual chargers of battery automotive, are simple and cheap appliances that charge continuously the battery, with a rythm of few amperes, for the time where the appliance is ON. If the holder do not close in time the charger, the battery will overcharge and her electrolytic faculty are lost with evaporation or likely exists destruction of her elements. The charger of circuit exceeds these faults. It checks electronic the situation of charge of battery and it has circuit of control with retroaction, that forces the battery charge with biggest rythm until charge completely. When charge completely, it turns on one RED led (LD2). The charger has been drawn in order to charge batteries of 12V, ONLY. What should watch it from what it manufactures the circuit, they are the cables that connect the transformer with the circuit and in the continuity the battery, should they are big cross-section, so that heat when it passes from in them the current of charge and also they do not cause fall of...

USB 5V to 12V DC DC Step Up Converter by LT1618

Image
This circuit is a 5v to 12 DC-DC step-up converter circuit which is specially ideal for the usb powered applications. A usb has two current supply modes. Before deecting the connected device the maximum supplies is 100mA to the load.when recognizing device its increases the output current up to 500mA.the controller (LT1618) also provides two input currents modes 100mA and 500mA which is selected by the user. Output currents are limited due to the increased potential difference at the output. When the demand of the load increases, output voltage will start to decrease. For example, if the circuit operates in the 100 mA input mode, when the load is 35 mA, the output voltage will be kept at 12V. But if the load increases to 50 mA, output voltage will reduce to 8V to maintain the constant 100 mA input current.

12V to 220V Inverter Schematics

12V to 220V Inverter Circuit Diagrams, Even though today’s electrical appliances are increasingly often self-powered, especially the portable ones you carry around when camping or holidaying in summer, you do still sometimes need a source of 230 V AC - and while we’re about it, why not at a frequency close to that of the mains? As long as the power required from such a source remains relatively low - here we’ve chosen 30 VA - it’s very easy to build an inverter with simple, cheap components that many electronics hobbyists may even already have 12V to 220V Inverter . 12V to 220V Inverter Circuit Diagrams Though it is possible to build a more powerful circuit, the complexity caused by the very heavy currents to be handled on the low-voltage side leads to circuits that would be out of place in this summer issue. Let’s not forget, for example, that just to get a meager 1 amp at 230 VAC , the battery primary side would have to handle more than 20 ADC !. The circuit diagram of 12V to 2...
