Spining BLDC motors at super Slow speeds with Arduino and L6234

Image
I used specialized triple half bridge IC L6234 (~ 8$). You can make the same spending less money (but more time) with MOSFET transistors or other IC. L6234 datasheet is surprisingly useless. Go straight to Application Note AN1088 instead. I added current limiting resistors (1kΩ) to all INputs and ENable pins, a bunch of capacitors recommended in application note and current sensing shunt resistor 0.6Ω (big blue one). [ ]

Warning Light and Marker Light Circuit Diagram

Image
This is a Warning Light and Marker Light Circuit Diagram. A flashing light of high brightness and short duty cycle is often desired to provide maximum visibility and battery life. This necessitates using an output transistor, which can supply the cold filament surge current of the lamp while maintaining a low saturation voltage. The oscillation period and flash duration are determined in the feedback loop, while the use of a photo transistor sensor minimizes sensitivity variations.  Warning Light and Marker Light Circuit Diagram

OOA and Design

Being able to produce a well designed object oriented system is an important skill to master. The old saying "owning a hammer does not make one an architect: is especially true for object oriented development. Knowing an object oriented language such as Java is not sufficient alone for the production of object oriented systems. During OO Analysis there is a focus on finding and describing the objects and/or concepts in the problem domain. During OO Design there is a focus on defining the objects that will ultimately be implemented in an OO programming language.

Adjustable Symmetrical Power Supply Using LM317 and LM337

Analogue and Digital Systems

Image
Analogue signal Analogue meter display Analogue systems Analogue systems process analogue signals which can take any value within a range, for example the output from an   LDR   (light sensor) or a microphone. An audio amplifier is an example of an analogue system. The amplifier produces an output voltage which can be any value within the range of its power supply. An analogue meter can display any value within the range available on its scale. However, the precision of readings is limited by our ability to read them. For example the meter on the right shows 1.25V because the pointer is estimated to be half way between 1.2 and 1.3. The analogue meter can show any value between 1.2 and 1.3 but we are unable to read the scale more precisely than about half a division. All electronic circuits suffer from 'noise' which is unwanted signal mixed in with the desired signal, for example an audio amplifier may pick up some mains 'hum' (the 50Hz frequency of the UK m...

Hofner Colorama II restoration project part 7 applying the decal and lacquering the neck

Image
In the previous post, we set about making a replacement decal for the neck on this vintage Hofner Colorama II. Before we lacquer the neck, we need to apply the decal. The decal is printed on special laser waterslide decal paper. This paper just prints on a standard laser printer. It’s also possible to get inkjet waterslide decal paper, but just note that an inkjet printout requires that you spray a layer of lacquer over the printed decal before you let it anywhere near water. So first we put some not-too-hot/not-too-cold water in a little dish and place the decal in there, making sure to submerge it. After a minute or so you will notice that it starts to separate from the paper. You can test this by seeing if it will slide around on the paper, but don’t force it too much. While we are waiting for the decal to reach this separation stage, it’s a good idea to spread just a little bit of water on the area where we will apply the decal. This helps to prep the surface for what is to come. O...

Tips and Tricks on Audio Power Amplifier Circuit

Amplilfier power series from the beginning until now did not experience any changes. Some say this series is good, but the series was good fitting assembly and tested the results are not as we expected. The problem is usually treble is less subtle, less sound, sound breaking, buzz, middle of the field tested the bass sound is lost. so you do not have to believe what people 100%. The quality amplifier built-up would differ greatly with the amplifier assembly, a series can be the same but the quality will depend on who manufacture it. Here are a few tricks to try How to cope with a buzzing sound Power amplifiers are often used in the field blazer. This circuit is said said person is a bell assembly. But you do not immediately interested in this power, the circuit rather complicated and difficult to understand reflect the intelligence of people who first mendisainnya. In my opinion a great power is the power of simple, inexpensive, easily assembled and rational. You do not need to use exp...

Parallel Telephone with Secrecy and Call Prevention

Image
This circuit provides secrecy when two or more telephones are connected in parallel to a telephone line. The circuit also prevents incoming calls to as well as outgoing calls from other telephones connected in parallel, except from the one lifted first. When someone picks up the handset of the telephone connected in parallel to the original (master) phone for making an outgoing call, no dial tone is heard and the phone appears to be dead. But when a call comes, the ring signal switches the SCRs ‘on’ and conversation can be carried out. As soon as the handset is kept on the hook, the SCR goes off and the telephone can again only receive incoming calls. Parallel Telephone with Secrecy and Call Prevention Circuit Diagram When a call comes, conversation can be made only from the telephone which is lifted up first. To carry out conversation from the other telephone, the handset of the telephone that was lifted up first has to be placed on the hook and then the push-to-on switch of the assoc...

Battery Charger Used in Grid and Substation

Image
In almost on all the 132 kV & 220 kV Sub-stations two sets of 110 V (for protection) and one set of 48 V (for carrier communication) lead Acid station batteries along with battery chargers are installed. The battery charging equipment comprises of a float charger and a boost charger. Stabilization  output voltage is provided in the float charger to float the battery at the correct level. The battery can be boost charging after a prolonged mains failure by the boost charger. These chargers have been provided protection for under voltage DC & earth fault. DC Board is installed to feed various essential DC load from a separate feeder. Recommended specific gravity of cells at 27 0 C (electrolyte temp) should be 1.210 ± 0.005. Actual temp should be measured in the electrolyte of the cell. If the temp is different than 27 0 C the correction ± 0.0007/ 0 C change in temp. should be made in sp. gr. (Subtract for temp. below 27 0   C  and add f...
