An LCD Clock Kit Suitable for Beginners with Open Source Arduino Firmware

Image
Simpleclock is an easy to assemble attractive 4-digit 7-segment LED display clock with temperature and alarm function. It is available in three display colors: Red, Blue and White. It comes as a kit of through-the-hole parts and can be soldered by any person with basic soldering experience. An attractive acrylic stand is included. [ ]

DS3231M Real Time Clock Breakout

Image
The DS3231M breakout board is a compact breakout board for the new DS3231M high precision real time clock chip. With it, you can add timekeeping and alarm functionality to any Arduino (or other microcontroller that supports the I2C/TWI protocol). The board comes with an onboard CR1220 backup battery (keeps time when main power is disconnected). All pins on the chip are broken out, allowing you to use extra features such as 1Hz and 32kHz square wave output, interrupt on alarm and reset. [ ]

Incredibly Illuminated Persistence of Vision LED Clock

Image
Persistence of Vision flashes LEDs during sure moments as it spins, to illustrate formulating a clock above. The PCB blades have been spun around regulating a pc cooling air blower to create this POV clock. The existence outcome is interjection to bright LEDs that have been synchronized with a Hall Effect sensor. The house gets energy wirelessly in between a bottom transformer as well as a curl upon a board. The arrangement is ever becoming different as it receives a lot of inputs from a firmware automatic with 3000 lines of formula. Unlike alternative clocks, we can essentially tweak a lot of animations as well as customize a display.

One second Audible Clock Circuit

Image
Accurate, finger-operated portable unit, 3 - 12V Battery supply This accurate one-pulse-per-second clock is made with a few common parts and driven from a 50 or 60 Hertz mains supply but with no direct connection to it. A beep or metronome-like click and/or a visible flash, will beat the one-second time and can be useful in many applications in which some sort of time-delay counting in seconds is desirable. The circuit is formed by a CMos 4024 counter/divider chip and 3 diodes, arranged to divide the frequency of the input signal at pin #1 by 50 (or 60, see Notes). The input impedance at pin #1 is very hight, so simply touching the pin (or a short track or piece of wire connected to it) is usually enough to provide the necessary input signal. Another way to provide an input signal consists in a piece of wire wrapped several times around any convenient mains cable or transformer. No other connection is necessary. Precision 1HZ Clock Circuit Diagram

Image
This precision 1Hz clock uses just two ICs and one junction field-effect transistor (JFET) in conjunction with a commonly available crystal and a handful of other passive components. The Pierce-type crystal oscillator is formed around BFW10 n-channel JFET using the components as shown in the figure. A commonly available low-priced 4.194304MHz crystal is connected between its gate and drain via capacitor C1. A readymade 100µH radio frequency coil (RFC) forms the load for JFET at crystal frequency and also prevents the RF signal from entering the DC supply. Precision 1HZ Clock Circuit Diagram   The 4.194304MHz output from the drain is fed to input pin 11 of the 14-stage binary counter-cum-oscillator CD4060 (IC1). The output from pin 3 of IC1 is equal to the crystal frequency divided by 16,384, i.e. 4.194304 MHz/16,384=256 Hz, which is connected to pin 11 of another IC CD4060 (IC2). The Q8 output from pin 14 of IC2 further divides the input frequency by 256 to give 1Hz pulses (with 50...
