Electronic Circuit Project Use a Transistor as a Heater

Image
A temperature sensor and a hot transistor hold biological samples at a preset temperature. It is common to use transistors for driving resistive heating elements. However, you can use the heat that a power transistor dissipates to advantage in several situations, eliminating the need for a separate heating element because most transistors can safely operate at temperatures as high as 100°C. A typical example is in a biological laboratory, in which the need for maintaining the temperature of samples in microliter-sized cuvettes is a common requirement. The space/geometry constraint and the less-than-100°C upper-temperature limit are the basic factors of the idea. Electronic Circuit Project Use a Transistor as a Heater: Figure 1. IC1 senses the temperature of the item that Q2 heats, and the temperature remains at the level that VR1 sets. You can use an N-channel IRF540 MOSFET to directly heat and control the temperature of a biological sample from ambient to 45°C. Figure 1 shows a simple...

Build a Digital Electronic Lock Circuit Diagram

Image
This Digital Electronic Lock Circuit Diagram shown below uses 4 common logic ICs to allow controlling a relay by entering a 4 digit number on a keypad. The first 4 outputs from the CD4017 decade counter (pins 3,2,4,7) are gated together with 4 digits from a keypad so that as the keys are depressed in the correct order, the counter will advance. As each correct key is pressed, a low level appears at the output of the dual NAND gate producing a high level at the output of the 8 input NAND at pin 13. Digital Electronic Lock Circuit Diagram The momentary high level from pin 13 activates a one shot circuit which applies an approximate 80 millisecond positive going pulse to the clock line (pin 14) of the decade counter which advances it one count on the rising edge. A second monostable, one shot circuit is used to generate an approximate 40 millisecond positive going pulse which is applied to the common point of the keypad so that the appropriate NAND gate will see two logic high levels whe...

Analogue Electronic Key Circuit Diagram

Image
This circuit uses two comparator that are combined in what is called a window comparator, i.e. resistors R2, R5, and R10 determine a voltage window within which the voltage applied to the junction of D2 and D6 must lie in order for the outputs of IC2.A and IC2.B to both be high at the same time. Given the value used for these resistors, this window is from 10/21 to 11/21 of the comparator supply rail (5 V). If IC2.A and IC2.B outputs are both high at the same time, transistor T1 is saturated via the AND gate formed by D3 and D4, and relay RE1 is energized to operate the electric latch or any other locking device. Analogue Electronic Key Circuit Diagram The key is defined by the generation of the specif ic voltage at the junction of D2 and D6, formed, for example, by a simple stereo jack containing the two resistors R4 and R8. Together with R1 and R9, they form a potential divider that needs to be suitably calculated in conjunction with the values of R2, R5, and R10 so that the key can ...

Electronic Circuit Project of Sun Tracker

Image
This is a simple Electronic Circuit Project of Sun-Tracker circuit. In solar cell array applications and solar instrumentation, it is desirable to monitor the approximate position of the sun to allow efficient automatic alignment. The Ll4Gllens can provide about 15° of accuracy in a simple level sensing circuit, and a full hemisphere can be monitored with about 150 phototransistors. Electronic Circuit Project of Sun-Tracker Circuit Diagram: The sun provides `` 80 mW/cm2 to the L14Gl when on the centerline. This will keep the output down to,; 0.5 V for f),; 7.5°. The sky provides `` 0.5 mW/cm2 to the Ll4G1 and will keep the output greater than 10 V when viewed. White douds viewed from above can lower this voltage to `` 5 Von some devices. This circuit can directly drive TTL logic by using the 5-V supply and changing the load resistor to 430 0. Different bright objects can also be located with the same type of circuitry simply by adjusting the resistor values to provide the desired se...

Electronic Cricket Match Game

Image
This electronic cricket is a present for Kids. This simple battery powered circuit can be used to play Cricket Match with your friends. Each LED in the circuit indicates various status of the cricket match like Sixer, Run out, Catch etc. The Circuit uses two ICs ,one in the Astable mode and the second in the display driver mode. IC1 is wired as an Astable Multivibrator with the timing elements R1, R2 and C1. With the shown values of these components very fast output pulses are generated from the Astable. Output from IC1 passes into the input of IC2 which is the popular Johnson Decade counter CD4017. It has 10 outputs. Of these 8 outputs are used. Output 9 ( pin9) is tied to the reset pin 15 to repeat the cycle. When the input pin 14 of IC2 gets low to high pluses, its output turns high one by one. Resistor R3 keeps the input of IC2 low in stand by state to avoid false indications. Electronic Cricket Circuit Diagram When the Push Switch S1 is pressed momentarily, the Astable operates an...

Electronic Digital Combination lock Circuit Diagram

Image
The circuit above above makes use of the CMOS 4017 decade counter IC. Each depression of a switch steps the output through 0– 9. By coupling the output via an AND gate to the next IC, a predefined code has to be input to create the output. Each PBS switch is de bounced by tw1o gates of a CMOS4001 quad 2-input NOR gate. This ensures a clean pulse to the input of each CMOS4017 counter. Only when the correct number of presses at PBS Awill allow PBS B to become active. This is similar for PBS C and PBS D. At IC4, PBS D must be pressed 7 times. Then PBS C is again pressed 7 times, stepping from output 1 to output 8. The AND gate formed around CMOS4081 then goes high, lighting the LED. The Reset switch can be pressed at any time. Power on resetis provided by the 100n capacitor near the reset switch. Below is a picture of one that I made about 15 years ago:   Unfortunately, this board was part of a much larger project containing multiple power supplies. One day whilst working on anot...

Electronic Dice Circuit Diagram

Image
Description With this electronic dice the result is displayed with LEDs that are placed so every dice face is shown. In the circuit diagram, IC 4022 is used to count to 6 in which only one output can get “1″ state. A diode matrix (D1..D8) serve as decoding the output signals of the counter so that the LEDs are controlled by two buffer transistors and series resistance.  Integrated circuit outputs only support a reduced load, so in the transistor’s base are connected the limiting resistances. As a clock generator it can be used any generator with rectangular pulses whose amplitude corresponds to the IC’s supply voltage. The 4022 clock input impedance is 10 12 Ω.  Circuit Diagram  Source - http://electroschematics.com/5011/electronic-dice/

Electronic Stethoscope Circuit

Image
Circuit Diagram Description: U1a operates as a low-noise microphone preamp. Its gain is only about 3.9 because the high output impedance of the drain of the FET inside the electret microphone causes U1a’s effective input resistor to be about 12.2K. C2 has a fairly high value in order to pass very low frequency (about 20 to 30Hz) heartbeat sounds. U1b operates as a low-noise Sallen and Key, Butterworth low-pass-filter with a cutoff frequency of about 103Hz. R7 and R8 provide a gain of about 1.6 and allow the use of equal values for C3 and C4 but still producing a sharp Butterworth response. The rolloff rate is 12dB/octave. C3 and C4 can be reduced to 4.7nF to increase the cutoff frequency to 1KHz to hear respiratory or mechanical (automobile engine) sounds. The U4 circuit is optional and has a gain of 71 to drive the bi-colour LED. U5 is a 1/4W power amplifier IC with built-in biasing and inputs that are referred to ground. It has a gain of 20. It can drive any type of headphones includ...

Electronic Fuse for DC Short Circuit Protection

Image
This is an electronic fuse that protects the load against short circuit. Project Description Relays must be chosen with a voltage value equals to the input voltage. Don’t omit using the 100uF capacitor with appropriate voltage value with respect to the input voltage. If you can’t provide, you can use C106 instead of BRX46. You can adjust the current with using 10K potentiometer. If you will use the fuse with very high currents, lower the 0R6 5W resistor value (ex. 0R47, 0R33, 0R22 or 0R1). Watt value of the resistor should be increased also.

Easy Make a Electronic Circuit Project Lights On!

Image
This is a simple Electronic Circuit Project for light on circuit. This circuit ensures that you will never again forget to switch on the lights of your car. As soon as the engine is running, the dipped beams and the sidelights are automatically switched on. The circuit also causes the dipped beams to be extinguished as soon as the main beams are switched on. As you can see from the schematic diagram, no special components are needed. When the engine is running, the alternator will generate a voltage of more than 14 V. Diode D1 reduces this voltage by 5.6 V and passes it to the base of T1 via R1. Due to the resulting current, T1 conducts. The amplified current flows via R3, the base of T3 and D3 to ground. This causes T3 to also conduct and energize relay Re1. Lights On  Circuit Diagram : If the driver now switches on the main beams, a current flows through D2 and R2 into the base of T2, causing this transistor to conduct. As a result, the voltage on the base of T3 drops, causing T3 ...
