Advantages and Disadvantages of Push Pull Amplifier

Advantages and Disadvantages of Push Pull Amplifier Advantages: 1.        Even harmonics are absent in the output. 2.        The problem of core saturation and non-linear distortions will not appear because of cancellation of D.C. components of collector current. 3.        The output is double as that offered by a single ended stage. 4.        The effect of ripple voltage of the power supply due to inadequate filtering are balanced out because of flow of ripple current in opposite direction in the primary of the output transformer. Disadvantages: 1.        Two transistors have to be used. 2.        It requires two equal and opposite voltages at the input. Therefore push pull circuit requires the use of driver stage to furnish these signals. 3.        If the parameter of the two tr...

The circuit will serve as a voltage converter with an input voltage of 35...

Evolving Technology and Auto Sound Systems

Finding auto sound systems that can keep up with the constantly evolving technology of today is a real challenge for many car and sound enthusiasts not only around the nation but also around the world. There was a time in the not so distant past when car stereos that had CD players or CD disc changers where the cutting edge of technology. New technology however has nearly rendered the CD players in cars as obsolete as long forgotten 8-track players. The sad news is that many carmakers are clinging to the old days and only offer something as modern as cassette players as standard equipment for auto sound systems. I think those days will soon be forgotten, as cassettes are no longer even in mainstream production. You should also find that as CDs are rapidly becoming replaced by MP3s that take up very little space in our cars and homes, one day very soon we may see that music companies have decided it is no longer cost effective to produce CDs and render all music to digital formats. So, ...

Definition of Indicating Intergrating and Recording Instruments

Indicating, Intergrating and Recording Instruments Measuring instruments (i.e. secondary instruments) may be classified according to their function as: 1.        Indicating instruments 2.        Integrating instruments 3.        Recording instruments 1.        Indicating instruments: “Indicating instruments are those which indicate the magnitude of an electrical quantity at the time when it is being measured.” Their indications are given by a pointer moving over calibrated dial. Example: Ordinary voltmeters, ammeters and wattmeter’s, etc. 2.        Integrating instruments: “Integrating instruments are those which measure and register by a set of dials and pointer either the total quantity of electricity (In amp-hours) or the total amount of electrical energy (in watt-hours or kWh) supplied to a circuit in a given time.” Example: The ampere...

Sight and Sound Metronome Circuit Diagram

Image
Sight and Sound Metronome Circuit Diagram . Precise, adjustable control of beats per minute from a largo of 18 to a frenzied, high presto of 500, These beats are produced acoustically through a speaker. A light flashes at the same rate. When SW1 is closed, CI begins to charge through Rl and R2. Cl will eventually reach a voltage at which the emitter of uni junction transistor is switched on, `dumping` the energy stored in Cl into an 8 ohm speaker.  Sight and Sound Metronome Circuit Diagram To produce a distinct `plop`, brief pulses across T2 secondary drive Q2 into conduction. The extra gain of Q3 and Q4 are sufficient to briefly switch LI on, then o£f; as the pulse wave pas-ses. Capacitor C2 `stretches` the puise slightly to overcome the thermal inertia of the lamp, so that a bright flash occurs,.

Mini and simple power amplifier circuits

Image
What is the meaning of the picture above? The above picture is a miniature audio amplifier and very simple. Here I will give an audio amplifier schematic is very simple which only requires a few components only, can be seen under this scheme. See from above scheme may occur to you, certainly cheap enough to make this amplifier and quite easy to make. The above simple audio amplifier circuit using an IC as the main amplifier and accompanied by other components. IC used is S1513, which requires a supply voltage ranging from 1.5 volts to 6 volts. And only 0.1 W output power with 4 ohm impedance. For a list components can be seen below. Part list C1 = 100nF C2 = 100uF C3 = 3n3F C4 = 1uF C5 = 1uF U1 = S1513

Control Switch for Fan and Air Conditioner

Image
An electronic switch that can be used to switch on both the air-conditioner as well as fan of your room, one by one. The circuit consists of power supply and control sections. The power supply section is built around transformer X1, bridge rectifier BR1 and filter capacitor C1. The 50Hz, 230V AC mains is stepped down by transformer X1 to deliver a secondary output of 9V, 300 mA. The transformer output is rectified by the bridge rectifier and filtered by capacitor C1. Control Switch for Fan and Air-Conditioner  Circuit Diagram When the mains is switched on for the first time, pin 3 of IC CD4017 (IC1) goes high and relay RL1 energies to switch on the fan. When mains is briefly switched off using S1 and then switched on, the power to IC1 is maintained by the charge on capacitor C1. At the same time, there is a trigger pulse on the clock input (pin 14) of IC1, which advances the decade counter and relay RL2 energies to switch -on the air-conditioner. Both the air-conditioner and the f...

Push to ON PUSH to OFF PLC program using NO NC and Coil

Image
This is  Interview question that every PLC programmer came across in his carrier. The Question is very tricky and shows the fundamentals (basic Ladder Laws) and depth of candidates knowledge. Today we are going to discuss PLC program for Push to ON device  and Push to Off Device. But the trick is that we have to use  only Normally open(NO) ,Normally Close (NC) contacts ,and Coil as output only(No timer,Counter, OSR ). In short there will be a single Push Button Input (X0) , and one Output (Y0). When user press Push button for 1st time output will be ON ,when user Presses Push Button for 2nd time output will be OFF. This is also called as "Push to On Push to Off " logic.Analogy can be provided with "TV" on and off Push Button.    We Can Break Sequence Like This : 1) Push Button Pressed (X0) ==> Output (Y0)On 2)Push Button Released (X0)==> Output (Y0) Latched 3)Push Button Pressed (X0)==> Output (Y0 )Off 4)Push Button Released (X0)==> Output (Y0) O...

Definition and explanation of Stabilization and Need of Stabilization

Stabilization When the temperature changes or the transistor is replaced the operating point also changes. However for faithful amplification, the operating point must be remains fixed. This necessity to make the operating point independent of these variations. The process of making operating point independent of temperature changes or variations in transistor parameters is known as stabilization. Thus for maintaining the operating point independent of these variations, the following techniques are used. They are 1.        Stabilization technique 2.        Compensation technique Need of Stabilization The following are the factors that effect the stability of the operating point. 1.        Temperature dependence of I C 2.        Change of V BE and β due to replacement of transistor 3.        Thermal runway 1.     ...
