New HTC launches Windows 8 based 8X and 8S Phones

At New York event, HTC took the wraps of their latest Windows Phone devices. The higher-end HTC 8X comes with a 1.5GHz dual core Snapdragon S4 processor along with a 4.3 inch 720x1280 screen in a 0.39-inch thin form factor. It also features NFC, LTE radio and an 8-megapixel camera along with a dedicated button on the back as a 2 megapixel camera on the front. The HTC 8S comes with a 1GHz CPU and a 4' 800x400 resolution screen with a 5 megapixel camera. Both the HTC 8X and 8S are available in multiple colors such as red, blue and yellow. While they will be available in the US in November, we will try and find out the prices and availability for the Middle East and keep you updated.

8 Digit 7 Segment LED Display with SPI Interface

The following display features eight 7-segment displays arranged in two rows of four digits. The on-board MAX7219 driver enables you to easily add eight 7-segment LED displays to your project using only 3 I/O pins of microcontroller. The major advantage of using this board is the time-division multiplexing operations required for continuous refreshing of the display digits are performed by the MAX7219 chip, thereby keeping the microcontroller free for doing other pressing tasks. It is suitable for displaying two variable values simultaneously in a project, such as displaying temperature and humidity, or current and voltage, etc. [ ]

This power supply is powered by a transformer operating from 120 Vac on the primary and providing proximately 20 Vac on the primary, and providing approximately 20 Vac on the secondary. Four 10-A diodes with a 100 PIV rating are used in a full-wave bridge rectifier.  8-Amp Regulated Power Supply Circuit Diagram A 10,000 ^F/36 Vdc capacitor completes the filtering, providing 28 Vdc. The dc voltage is fed to the collectors of the Darlington connected 2N3055's. Base drive for the pass transistors is from pin 10 of the µ723 through a 200 ohm current limiting resistor, Rl. The reference terminal (pin 6) is tied directly to the non-inverting input of the error amplifier (pin 5), providing 7.15 V for comparison. The inverting input to the error amplifier (pin 4) is fed from the center arm of a 10 k ohm potentiometer connected across the output of the supply.
