At New York event, HTC took the wraps of their latest Windows Phone devices. The higher-end HTC 8X comes with a 1.5GHz dual core Snapdragon S4 processor along with a 4.3 inch 720x1280 screen in a 0.39-inch thin form factor. It also features NFC, LTE radio and an 8-megapixel camera along with a dedicated button on the back as a 2 megapixel camera on the front. The HTC 8S comes with a 1GHz CPU and a 4' 800x400 resolution screen with a 5 megapixel camera. Both the HTC 8X and 8S are available in multiple colors such as red, blue and yellow. While they will be available in the US in November, we will try and find out the prices and availability for the Middle East and keep you updated.

Today HTC announced the Desire X, an affordable take on their One series. Just like the One X and One S, the Desire X features HTC’s proprietary ImageChip, Beats audio, and Snapdragon S4 processor. The HTC Desire X will be available in selected markets across EMEA and Asia Pacific from September 2012.               “HTC Desire X is an extension of your social life,” said Jason Mackenzie, President, Global Sales and Marketing for HTC Corporation. “If you’re looking to enjoy and share high quality multimedia, wherever you are, this is the phone for you. HTC is taking a knocking in the smartphone department from Apple and Samsung (hey, at least they're not BlackBerry), but it looks like they're ready to fight back with a helping hand: Iron Man. Robert Downy, Jr. is the face of HTC's new ad campaign, entitled "Change," which they're spending $1 billion on for the next two to three years. What are the best kind of commercials? The ones that make you laugh. Before we continue, a quick game of riddle-me-this : What does "HTC" stand for? Yeah, didn't think you would know. HTC knows you don't know either. So, their RDJ commercials play on just that: the HTC acronym, and RDJ's quest to offer alternatives (like, "Hold This Cat," "Humongous Tinfoil Catamaran," and, "Hipster Troll Car-wash").
