Advantages and Disadvantages of Push Pull Amplifier Advantages: 1. Even harmonics are absent in the output. 2. The problem of core saturation and non-linear distortions will not appear because of cancellation of D.C. components of collector current. 3. The output is double as that offered by a single ended stage. 4. The effect of ripple voltage of the power supply due to inadequate filtering are balanced out because of flow of ripple current in opposite direction in the primary of the output transformer. Disadvantages: 1. Two transistors have to be used. 2. It requires two equal and opposite voltages at the input. Therefore push pull circuit requires the use of driver stage to furnish these signals. 3. If the parameter of the two tr...

This add-on board is designed to provide a pair of balanced audio outputs for the High-Quality Stereo DAC (Digital to Analog Converter). Two 3-pin male XLR connectors are used for the new outputs and they can either replace or augment the existing unbalanced outputs without affecting their performance. Balanced audio is used in recording studios and on stage because of its improved noise immunity. Picture of the project: This is due to the fact that the signal is sent differentially (ie, as two signals 180° out of phase) and then converted to a single-ended voltage signal at the far end. If any noise is picked up in the cable, it affects the two out-of-phase signals equally so that when the signals are subsequently subtracted, most of the noise is eliminated. Parts layout: In addition, the DAC’s performance at the balanced outputs generally exceeds that of the unbalanced outputs, although only by a small margin. The signal-to-noise ratio, frequency response and chann...

This is a simple Project of 12 VDC Fluorescent Lamp Driver Circuit Diagram . A number of people have been unable to find the transformer needed for the Black Light project, so I looked around to see if I could find a fluorescent lamp driver that does not require any special components. I finally found one in Electronics Now. Here it is. It uses a normal 120 to 6V step down transformer in reverse to step 12V to about 350V to drive a lamp without the need to warm the filaments. 12 VDC Fluorescent Lamp Driver Circuit Digram Notes Q1 must be installed on a heat sink. A 240V to 10V transformer will work better then the one in the parts list. The problem is that they are hard to find. This circuit can give a nasty (but not too dangerous) shock. Be careful around the output leads. Parts Part Total Qty. Indicating, Intergrating and Recording Instruments Measuring instruments (i.e. secondary instruments) may be classified according to their function as: 1. Indicating instruments 2. Integrating instruments 3. Recording instruments 1. Indicating instruments: “Indicating instruments are those which indicate the magnitude of an electrical quantity at the time when it is being measured.” Their indications are given by a pointer moving over calibrated dial. Example: Ordinary voltmeters, ammeters and wattmeter’s, etc. 2. Integrating instruments: “Integrating instruments are those which measure and register by a set of dials and pointer either the total quantity of electricity (In amp-hours) or the total amount of electrical energy (in watt-hours or kWh) supplied to a circuit in a given time.” Example: The ampere...

In this section i will tell you about the POV coding using PIC16F877A in C language. Persistence of vision is the phenomenon of the eye by which an afterimage is thought to persist for approximately one twenty-fifth of a second on the retina. My plan is to use the fan from PC power supply; for rotating purpose. Now first of all i want to tell the two things. 1st i don't have smaller MCU that is why me using 40 pin, you can also use 28 pin if you have any. 2nd due to my hardware design fault, actually soldering fault, i missed the RB0 pin; so to compensate it i used RD0. You can change the coding if you want for your ease. Now come towards the hardware part; as already told you using the 877A MCU with 4MHz crystal, and 16 small leds, 9v dc battery, and one fan. Also don't forget to install the on/off switch to save the battery power. Software part consist of coding in HITECH compiler and there is about 2ms delay after each display. Tricky part in POV coding is to display; for t...

This is another situation that requires the overhead crane to rest for a while upon reaching both of the rail. After a pre-determine time the overhead crane will re-start in the opposite direction. Control circuit of "Delay Automatic Forward Reverse Motor of an Overhead Crane" The control circuit of this system is shown Above. Two times TR1 and TR2 are connected to the limit switches Y and X respectively at terminal 3. The terminal no. 1 of the instantaneous contacts TR1(1-3) and TR2(1-3) are connected to the terminals no. 3 of the limit switch Y and X respectively. The delay contact TR1(6-8) and TR2(6-8) are connected to the contacts R(13-14) and F(13-14) respectively. Supposing the overhead crane is moving in the forward (right) direction that means, contactor F(A-B) is at energized and contactor R(A-b) is at de-energize condition. When the overhead crane reaches the right end limit and touches the limit switch Y, the contact Y(1-2) of limit switch Y will open to de-energ...

USB connector there are only 2 kinds, namely the connector type A and type B connector, as shown below. Type A connector used to connect the USB cable into the USB terminal on the back of the computer the last few years of production. Type B connector used to connect the USB cable into the USB terminal on the equipment, for a simple USB devices, such as mouse, usually do not use the connector B, to save cost in the cable directly connected to the inside of the mouse. Specified in the standard reference pesyaratan very strict to USB cable, not just the cable can be used, all the more for USB full-speed transfer of data to 1.2 Mega bps. So that the USB cable always sold as a ready-made, one end attached to the connector type A and the other end attached to the connector type B, no one sells it off the USB connector. On the computer, usually there are two terminals for connector type A, so it can easily be paired with 2 pieces of USB devices. Manufacturing company that makes the ...

Making a Telecaster out of parts also known as a “Tele Partscaster”

I put this together a while back, but never got around to posting about it. There really wasn’t much to it, to be honest, but I’m going to stick it up here anyway, in the hope that it’s of use to someone. I really wanted to get a Telecaster and liked this kind of style, but also wanted to spend as little money as possible, while still getting a decent guitar. I found a guy on ebay selling solid alder “loaded” tele bodies pretty cheap (where “loaded” means, as you might have guessed, that it includes the pickups, pots, pick guard, etc). I really wanted to take this approach this time around because when I made a strat, I was surprised how much I ended up spending on all the bits and pieces. This way I’d be able to build a guitar by simply adding a neck and tuners. The loaded body: This is the neck I got. It was a returned neck and sold as a “second”. The only thing I could find wrong with it was a very small nick in one of the frets way up the fretboard (on the 19th fret or something,...
Demystifying The Use of Table Pointer in SPWM Application in Sine Wave Inverter

I have previously written quite a few articles on sinusoidal pulse width modulation (SPWM). I've discussed about how to generate the sine table, how to implement it, how to practically generate the SPWM signals (with example code) and also how to implement feedback with simple sine table manipulation with table pointer instead of complex PID control. All these methods have one thing in common regarding the implementation - use of the sine table and its control with the table pointer. Whether you use or implement feedback or not, the table pointer is used to access and retrieve values from the sine table. Before reading or going through this article, I suggest you go through these first: Tutorial (Click here to open tutorial): Generation and Implementation of Sine Wave Table Article (Click here to open article): Smart Sine – Software to generate sine table Article (Click here to open article): Generation of sine wave using SPWM in PIC16F684 It took quite a while for me to unde...

The main function of the tuner is to select the RF signals from the desired frequency spectrum wave on VHF and UHF and more signs in the air Changing RF variable into a fixed IF frequency and to provide sufficient strengthening to cover the original data that has been transmitted. Block diagram of a series of TV tuner to receive the frequency VHF / UHF Operational Tuner [Theoretical] Tuner is controlled by a microprocessor in the TV chassis, which functions to receive / select a frequency. Exchange of information is channeled through the terminal Address, Clock and Data. In the tuner, there are ICs that function to translate the instruction / data so that the tuner can function to select the desired frequency. The IC consists of some combination of series, including PLL, Local Oscillator [VCO], Mixer and IF amplifier. Everything artifacts in one chip / one chip. For further analysis, CXA3135 IC with I2C format will be taken as an example.
